Powered by Yandex — best-in-class for people

Reverse image search a face

A dedicated face-search flow: send a photo to the engines that are actually good at finding people — Yandex first, then Google Lens and Bing — and crop to a single face for a better match.

Why a dedicated face search?

Not every engine is built for people. Google Lens is great for objects and products; TinEye finds exact copies. For faces, Yandex is far ahead. Reverse Image Search Anywhere's “Search this face” flow sends the image to Yandex first (then Google Lens and Bing), and skips TinEye — exact-duplicate matching is useless for finding a person.

How to search a face

  1. 1

    Right-click a photo → “Search this face”

On any image, choose the face option — or use the toolbar button to capture a region of the screen.

  2. 2

    Crop to one face

In a group photo, drag the crop box around a single face. We crop at the image's full resolution for a better hit rate.

  3. 3

    Review results, Yandex first

The people-finding engines open in order so you can check where else that face appears.

Common uses

  • Verify a dating profile — check whether a match's photos belong to someone else (catfish detection).
  • Confirm someone is real before a meeting, sale, or hire.
  • Spot fake or AI-generated people reused across accounts.
  • Find the source of a portrait or reunite a photo with its subject.

Use responsibly. Face search is for verifying sources, confirming authenticity and spotting fakes — not for stalking or harassment. Follow your local laws. See our terms.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reverse image search a face for free?

Yes. Reverse Image Search Anywhere is free and includes a dedicated “Search this face” flow that sends the photo to Yandex, Google Lens and Bing — no account needed.

Which engine is best for finding a person?

Yandex, by a wide margin. That's why the face flow sends there first and excludes TinEye, which only finds exact image copies.

Can I search just one face in a group photo?

Yes. Drag the crop box around a single face and only that crop is searched, at the image's full resolution for a better match.

Is face search private?

The search goes from your browser to the engines. When an upload is needed (e.g. a cropped or restricted image) it auto-deletes within about an hour and is never sold or used for training.
